Two Dune Buggies Climbing a Hill of Coal Slag

... More at http://www.offroaders.com ... Stretching through the state of Pennsylvania is a region that once represented a huge source of the country's energy needs; when coal was king. Today the remnants of the monstrous coal industry has left behind small towns and incredible man-made landscapes of towering mountains and vast strips of barren land. While many people look at these landscapes as scares on the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, there are a large group of people who see these landscapes as playgrounds. Offroad playgrounds where 4x4's, Quads and Buggies can play. Located in the heart of this region are several small communities where people can go to have fun. One of these places is a small town called Trevorton. Towering above Trevorton are several man-made mountains of slag and mining debris that form incredible hillclimbs and challenging landscapes. Every day it seems more and more people gather here for a day, or a weekend of offroad activities; hill climbs, trail riding, camping and loads of fun.
